Is it October yet??

We are getting very excited for pumpkins, costumes and Fall colors around here! I know it's not even October yet, so in order to prolong the Halloween excitement I hid Abby's costume, but there was just no delaying a trip to the pumpkin patch for us! We might need to go once more before Halloween because Abby and I love the pumpkin patch on a sunny Fall day!

A week full of fun!

Last week I had a birthday and it was great! I love my family and friends so much. Here are a few highlights from my birthday week.

My little taste tester. Knock on wood, Abby is not picky at all and in this picture she is happily eating a mixture of stuff that included shallots, avocado, mustard, honey, parsley and dried apricots (I know weird combo, but I was trying to use up a bunch of stuff in my kitchen and as you can see, it tasted pretty good).

Sometimes Abby's hair is a total rats nest, she won't let me touch it and I think GRRR! What am I going to do about this hair?!

But other times it's curled up perfectly and it looks so pretty that I can't help but take a picture of it...

Silly girl playing with Bubbe's glasses.

Enjoying some special birthday pie flown in from an apple orchard in California! Thanks Grandmere and Grandpere!

What could this be... Thanks Abby for helping me unwrap and thanks Kate and Greg for the pretty bracelet!!

Birthday balloons from Meme!!! What a way to wake up from a nap!

Abby and her friend Zoey gave each other their first successful hive five. It was a big moment.

And I can't forget... Happy Birthday Auntie Kelsey!! We tried for about 10 minutes to get a picture featuring both a smile and the sign and finally had to give up. These just have to be good enough. :)

How about a quick dance with the sign?

Abby and Otto

Abby had her friend Otto over today. They are exactly 3 months apart, so they had to get together to celebrate Abby's 18 month birthday and Otto's 15 month! Not really, actually Otto's mom made me some pillows and cushions for my window seats and so she came by to hand deliver them. They look AMAZING. (She also makes amazing Christmas tree skirts. Check out her site if you need one - http://www.etsy.com/people/orangeroomshop)

Can I wear your shoes?

If you come over to our house wearing a pair of cute shoes, Abby will demand to put them on... just so you know. Here she is trying to steal Rachel's shoes.

Please, Rachel??? Can't I try on your shoes?

Whoa! I don't know if these are going to fit...

TAADAAA! They fit!

I love you Target.

If you haven't shopped for baby clothes at Target in a little while then let me encourage you to head over there. They have the cutest stuff right now.

I love Abby for so many reasons and way down on the list, one of them is that she is the perfect little doll to dress up.

It makes me smile to imagine that Abby is posing like one of those girls on America's Next Top Model... you know trying to look edgy and editorial :)

Abby the prankster...

I suppose it's a little early to tell, but Abby loves to joke around. She loves to tickle you, trick you, tease the dogs and she loves to laugh. These pictures don't really capture her in action like a good video with her laugh would, but you can see the mischievous look on her face and get an idea of what I mean.

Lil' Kickers

Abby is part of her first team! That's right, she's number 7 on the Lil'Kickers soccer team! We had our first practice today... I know there's no real game and it's all just for fun, but still, I could not be more proud of my Lil'Kicker! Abby did such a good job, she listened to the coach and followed most of his instructions, and most importantly, she had fun the whole time! Good job Abby!

So anxious to get out the door! Don't worry Abby, I was always late to soccer practice so I can assure you, we will not be late!

Post practice stretching and refreshments...
